Unusually mild winter weather has affected Nuuk and much of Greenland’s west coast, with temperatures well above normal and periods of rain melting snow. DMI meteorologists in Nuuk describe a persistent high‑pressure pattern over the North Atlantic that has “locked” the weather into a warm regime.
