The Bytantai River overflowed on July 23 and flooded Sady village in the Eveno-Bytantaysky ulus of Yakutia, forcing residents to flee to an evacuation point. Authorities reported 41 homes flooded and 18 people evacuated by helicopter.

A difficult flood situation persists in Yakutia. The water level on the rivers of the republic is rising. According to the Regional Rescue Service, the most difficult situation is on the Lena River coast, where the water level has exceeded the critical mark. An apartment building was flooded in the city of Olekminsk, and water reached 32 more buildings. In the village of Kyllakh, the water level is close to critical.

After blasting to break up an ice jam, water levels in the village of Ust-Yansk (northern Yakutia) began to recede following a sharp rise that caused widespread flooding of yards, homes, and public facilities.

During the active river ice breakup in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), high water on the Yana, Aldan and Kolyma rivers flooded over 100 household plots in several districts. Authorities report that homes and temporary accommodation centers have not been affected.

Heavy rains have caused the Indigirka River to overflow and a flood wave to move along the Aldan River, prompting Sakha Republic authorities to declare a regional-level state of emergency affecting three districts.
