Avalanche Danger: Homes, Factory Evacuated

Homes and a factory in Seydisfjordur, Iceland have been evacuated due to the danger of avalanches caused by heavy rain in the area. The town is located in a narrow fjord surrounded by peaks over 1,000 meters high, and other towns in the area are also at risk. The Icelandic Met Office is closely monitoring conditions in the area.
