No supply ships to ice-free areas

Upernavik, Avannaata, Greenland

Large stretches of Greenland’s coast have remained ice-free during winter due to unusually mild, rainy conditions, prompting North Greenland politicians to call for extra supply-ship visits to normally ice-locked communities. Royal Arctic Line says it will not add sailings, stating winter supplies were already delivered on scheduled calls and ships are being serviced for the next season.
