A train on the Nordland Line struck a herd of reindeer south of Trofors, lost power, and 63 passengers endured over four hours at -14°C before being evacuated by snowmobile and rail trolley. During a prolonged heatwave with temperatures above 30°C (86 F) in Vindelfjällen, hikers on Kungsleden are shifting their treks to early morning and nighttime to escape daytime heat.

A landslide has closed busy highway 80 between Fauske and Bodø. The Nordland Line has also been affected. The weather has been very bad with large amounts of rainfall in Nordland today. All farmer Arild Stenhaug is left with is tiny berries that cannot be sold. He believes the cause is climate change. "We have to listen to a farmer who has lost everything," says a researcher.

Tine Aastrøm Lorentzen was on a trip in Rana and noticed what she thought was a bumblebee, but it was suspiciously silent. "It looked like a crossover of a bumblebee and a butterfly. I studied it more closely and found that I had to film this, because I had never seen anything like this before," she tells NRK. The latin name of that insect is Hemaris tityus.

The island of Vega in Helgeland, which has a measurement station from 1999, has not had as much rain in 15 years. They had 27 rainy days in January.
