A fast-moving out-of-control wildfire southeast of Whitecourt, Alberta forced evacuations in Woodlands County, damaged at least one home, and threatened more properties as shifting winds and very dry conditions intensified fire risk.

An out-of-control wildfire northwest of Edmonton, Alberta destroyed at least one home and forced about 100 people to evacuate. Officials said the early-season fire could signal a potentially active wildfire season ahead.
