Sweden is having another winter without much of the white stuff, but local councils are taking the matter in their own hands.

Extremely heavy snowfall hit Bydalsfjällen in Åre Municipality, Jämtland, with about one meter reported in just 24 hours. Staff and visitors became snowed in, and resort crews used a piste machine to keep roads passable.
